Bag doctor Please Save My Bag!!

    I have a black bucket bag from Yves Saint Laurent, it the first Brand bag i ever owned it was purchased in 1997 - so it has sentimental value for me, but it was lost and i recently found it between my old storage boxes. The bag itself was in a good shape but the leather hanger was extremely damaged, i tried to fix it several times but nothing worked. Finally i noticed that delicates laundry have the “Fix” word attached with their name !!! probably they can help.. so i called them and explain the problem i’m facing with my bag, the next day their driver came to pickup the bag and in few days they called to give me the good news that it can be fixed and we agreed to the price.

   In a about a week it was delivered but sadly there was an employee mistake and a misunderstanding, they only washed the bag. I called them and they connected me with a lady called Samah, she was very helpful and understanding, i explained everything for her. In about 10 Days they delivered it again but this time they did Fantastic job and worth the wait. If you have bag that is sentimental or expensive then Delicates fix & clean laundry is defiantly the right place to go to. I will leave you with the pictures ... my Bag was saved.

 عندي جنطة من إيف سانت لورين ، و كانت أول جنطة شتريها بحياتي سنة ١٩٩٧ - الجنطة هذي وايد غالية علي أحبها. و صار لها سنين ضايعة فجأة لقيتها بين صناديق التخزين القديمة . بس للأسف الجنطة نفسها كانت حالتها زينة بس العلاقة (أو قضبتها ) متآكل جلدها حدة ، حاولت أصلحها بس محد عرف لها و أنا تفلسفت و قصيت بنفسي الجلد و شريت علاقة و حاولت أسويها بس ولا شي نفع... المهم أنا اللي أعرفه إن مصبغة ديليكتس تنظف ماركات بس فجأة استوعبت انهم كاتبين عند الاسم كلمة “تصليح” !!! فقلت هذه أخر محاولة قبل لا استسلم و أقطها. كلمتهم و شرحت المشكلة علي التلفون و اتفقنا لازم تروح المختبر علشان يقررون اذا ممكن تصليحها و لا لأ ، ثاني يوم طرشوا السايق يستلم الجنطة و خلال جم يوم دقوا ينقلون الأخبار الحلوة “ الجنطة تتصلح “ و اتفقنا علي السعر .

      بعد أسبوع اوصلت الجنطة بس للأسف كان في خطأ من قبل أحد الموظفين و صار سوء تفاهم و أوصلت الجنطة بس منظفينها ، فرديت كلمتهم و  طلع مسجل عندهم بالجهاز بس تنظيف بدون التصليح اللي اتفقنا علية ، و حولوني علي وحدة من المسؤلين عندهم اسمها سماح ، و كانت جدا متفهمة و اعتذرت عن الخطأ العرضي بالنيابة عن الموظف و حلت الأشكال بدقيقة و أوعدتني إن خلال ١٠ أيام راح استلم الجنطة بالطريقة اللي تعجبني . و فعلا الجنطة إوصلتني البيت جنها جنطة يديدة طالعة من محل إيف سانت لورين نفسة. بصراحة اذا عندج جنطة قيمتها غالية معنويا أو ماديا و تبين تنظفينها أو تصلحينها مالج إلا ديليكتس فيكس اند كلين .

Travel Diaries: Malaysia, November 2014

    

   Today i’m sharing with you my first trip to Malaysia, Kuala lumpur. My last Holiday destination was Turkey, Istanbul for the New Year 2014 holiday, so by the end of this year i was so desperate for a getaway anywhere and when my brother came to me :“I just took three weeks off from work, just find any where you want to go for one week only and i will come with you”. 

       I went to Monaco travel agency and find a great offer for 275KD only 5 Days (Tickets/ 5 Stars Hotel). Then set down to decide what clothes to wear over there, its monsoon season,i have a few days before my trip and i didn't know what to wear? all i know that i should pack Rain-appropriate footwear, umbrella, quicker-drying fabrics clothes and backpack. (end of the story i didn't look my in Best).

     Our trip was very long and tiring, i was so happy to finally reach our hotel "Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur” and have two hours sleep then a quick shower and we went to a close by mall Pavilion for Dinner. We found the best restaurant called Michelangelo’s, we ordered two filetto di salmone and two wetermelon drinks, i just can’t tell you how delicious was the food (Amaaaaaazzzzzing).

    Next Day we took the tour bus trip, on Stop No. 6 we found a nice spa called The Tropical Spa, both of us took the shoulders and foot massage package. It was the best foot massage i ever had, my left foot was killing me for weeks before the trip only when i wear flats, and after the massage i felt no pain at all. After that we went to the end of the street and we come by a big Tea shop, i bought all the tea bags and tea leafs i want from this shop only they have everything.

    Next Stop was China Town, wasn’t my favorite stop but my Brother loved it, i only enjoyed the fruit snacks and pineapple tart ;) .

    In our third day, we went to butterflies park and birds park in the morning and in the afternoon we went shopping at mine mall. We had our lunch at fish & Co. i ate fish & chips african style and when we finished shopping at night the plan was to go to pavilion agin and try Grandmama’s restaurant but there was a rain storm outside, so we had to go back to the hotel before dinner to change our wet clothes and wait for the rain to stop.

      The following day we went shopping at Lot 10 mall and fahreneit 88 mall where we had our lunch at Sushi Zanmai  it was so cheap and delicious.

      And more shopping at Star Hills mall and pavilion (again), Then by Night dinner at La Boca latino Bar also amazing food and atmosphere.

the Dress i found in star hills mall (it cost 300 KD!!), in that day i was sick and was looking for coffee every where (turkish coffee and coffee ice cream).

       We ended the night with a long walk at bukit bintang street and on the way back to the hotel we found street artist (his name is Colin think) he draw my portrait for 50 Rm.

      Finally the last day, we went to the factories area and Roncato leatherware  was the best stop we had the other factories were coffee, tea, chocolates factories. (i think i will write another post to show you some of the malaysia shopping). In the afternoon we went to berjaya time square mall for more shopping of course and at night we went to Petronas twin towers for dinner in a very traditional japanese restaurant named Umai-ya, and for the first time i ate Ramen (Kaisen Ramen) and it was so yummy.

Like an indian bride/ مثل العروس الهندية

i love love hindi movies. i watched them since i was in kindergarten, the family gathering (my father side) was every friday and after lunch we were gathered to watch hindi movie aired on KTV.
And in every movie there will be a wedding scene performing their wedding rituals, one particular ritual interested me, when they paint the bride with turmeric mask.

أنا أموت بالأفلام الهندية، من كنت بالحضانة و أنا أذكر أهل أبوي و طقوس الزوارة كانت كل جمعة بعد الغداء نتيمع عند التلفزيون و ننطر الفلم الهندي اللي راح يعرضونه حتي الخدم يقعدون و اذكر كان عندنا صبي يضحك نسيت اسمه كله يبي يترجم لنا الفلم وترجمته تضحك تنسينه ساعات احداث الفلم، المهم إن في كل فلم هندي لازم في مشاهد عرس و طقوسهم اللي ما تخلص و اكثر شي يشد انتباهي لما يدهنون العروس بخلطة من الكركم.

i asked and searched the recipe for this mask for a long time, finally two years ago i found it, it's called “Peeti” and it can really reduce/stop the amount of breakouts (you can use it Whenever you feel a pimple coming on) and eliminate wrinkles and will leave your skin soft and glowing.

سألت و دورت علي الوصفة وايد، و أخيرا من سنتين تقريبا لقيتها، يسمونها “بيتي - Peeti “ و عرفت انها تقلل و تمنع ظهور البثور و تقضي علي التجاعيد و تعطي البشرة نعومة و إشراقة. أول ما تحسين في بثور بدت تبين تحت الجلد علي طول استخدمي الماسك قبل لا يطلع لها راس، وراح تحسين بعد ما تغسلين الماسك بحرارة في مكان البثرة معناته تأثير الماسك اشتغل علشان يمنع البثرة من انها تكبر.

Mask recipe:

2 Tbsp Gram Flour

1 Tbsp Almond Oil

1/2 Tsp Turmeric

Milk 

Mix all the ingredients into a bowl,the amount of milk will depend on the mixture, it must be like a paste so you can spread it on your face/body (not very thick or runny).

leave it on your skin for 20 minutes then rinse.

وصفة القناع:

٢ ملعقة كبيرة من دقيق الحمص

١ ملعقة كبيرة من زيت اللوز الحلو

١/٢ ملعقة صغيرة كركم

حليب

نخلط جميع المقادير في وعاء، و يضاف الحليب بشكل تدريجي حتي نكون خليط متماسك مثل العجين و سهل وضعه علي الوجه والجسم. يترك القناع لمدة ٢٠ دقيقة علي البشرة ثم يشطف بالماء.

Note:

For best results do this twice a week.

It stains, so be careful and make sure you don’t get it in your eyes/ nose, it is a spice!

ملاحظة:

لأفضل النتائج استخدمية مرتين بالاسبوع.

كوني حذرة اثناء وضع القناع حتي لا يترك بقع علي الملابس تصعب إزالتها ، و تأكدي من عدم ملامسته للعين أو الأنف بسبب و جود توابل في القناع.

Beauty Experience: Once upon a time / كان يا ماكان

 Once upon a time when i was a very little girl, i always thought that old people with wrinkles and lines in their faces they were born like that. i didn’t understand that we all grow old and have our share of wrinkles. But when i entered school i learned that even me one day i will grow up to become old like my grandma and i promised my self that day “no no not me i will always be young”.



    As i promised you before, in my first post, that i will share with you anything i will do for pursuing of long lasting youth and beauty. This year in august i have started to take
some actions to fulfill this promise but like
everyone else i hate needles so much
but i was thinking about my face i have to
start now before its too late, the years
passing by so quickly i can’t believe i’m on
my thirties now. so on the first of August i
gathered all my courage and decided to go
to virginia clinic to check what i can do for the
dark circles around my eyes and the hollow
below my lower eyelid.

  كان يا ماكان  لما كنت طفلة صغيرة وكنت أشوف جدتي و الحريم الثانين الكبار بالسن، كانت دايما تلفت نظري التجاعيد و كنت مقتنعه إن اهما إنولدوا جذي “جدات” .بس للأسف لما دخلت المدرسة تعلمنا دائرة الحياة ، و انصدمت اني يوم من الأيام راح يصير عندي نفس التجاعيد و الخطوط  ، يومها وعدت نفسي “مستحيل أنا راح أكبر و راح أضل صغيرة علي طول”.

 مثل ما قلتلكم من قبل ، أي شي راح أسويه تجميلي راح أشاركم بالتجربة . هالسنة في شهر أغسطس خذت قراري ، لازم أبدي أبلش من الحين أشوف حلول لتأخير أي مظاهر شيخوخة ممكن تظهر بالسنين اليايه ، مع إني حدي جبانة و أموت خوف من الأبر بس  خلاص لا مفر. حجزت موعد مع دكتور محمد يحي في عيادة فرجينيا علشان أبلش بعيني ، عندي سواد تحت العين و مثل خفقة تحت العين.

اقتراحات الدكتور كانت ٣ الي ٥ جلسات علاج كاربوكسي و أصر علي ضرورة حقن بوتوكس في المنطقة ما بين الحاجبين و الزاوية الخارجية للعين. أول شي بلشنه بالبوتيكس و أحب أشكر دكتوري كان وايد متفهم و متعاون و أنا تقريبا هسترت من الخرعة ، بس بالنهاية ما حسيت بعوار أبدا.

from 3 to 5 sessions and he insisted on botox
injection in between my eyebrows and the
side corners of my eyes.
we started with the Botox and let me here
thank my doctor, he was very patient with
me babbling that i'm so afraid and worried for
doing this. but at the end i didn’t feel any pain
and agreed on second appointment to start
the Carboxy therapy he suggested.

on 6 of August i wen back again to the clinic for the first session of Carboxy therapy.

الجلسة الثالثة رحت مو حاطة كونسيلر أو فاوندايشن

something you need to know:

1. Carboxy therapy is injecting a small amount of carbon dioxide gas just beneath the skin of the lower eyelid, circulation will increased and dark under-eye circles will markedly improved. 
2. The treatment takes only five minutes, and is painless and risk-free.
3. The treatment can be taking every two weeks.

The result can be last up to one year, if you take a good care of your health like having good sleep and drink a lot of water.
  and my advice for you: check first your blood test before you start this treatment because if you have problem like Anemia you will not have the perfect result.
 my result was great but not perfect because of iron deficiency the dark circle has gone from the outer corner of my eyes but in the inner corner there is darkness there, you can see that in the last picture i’m wearing my makeup with no concealer and foundation.

معلومات لازم تعرفونها :

1. علاج الكاربوكسي هو عبارة عن حقن كمية صغيرة من غاز ثاني أكسيد الكربون تحت الجلد في منطقة الجفن السفلي، لزيادة الدورة الدموية و تحسين السواد تحت العين بشكل ملحوظ.
2. جلسة العلاج ما تاخذ خمس دقايق و ما منها خطورة و لا ألم (لدرجة إن ما تحتاج مخدر).
3. بين كل جلسة و جلسة مدة اسبوعين.

النتيجة ممكن تستمر نتايجها لمدة توصل لسنة ، اذا حافظتي علي العادات الصحية مثل النوم الكافي خصوصا فترة الليل و شرب الماء.

نصيحة مني : قبل لا تخضعين للعلاج سوي تحليل دم علشان تتأكدين إن مافيج مشاكل بالدم ممكن تأثر علي نتيجة العلاج ، يعني أنا نتيجتي حلوه بس مو ممتازة لأنه السواد راح من كل المنطقة ما عدى الزاوية الداخليه من العين (القريبة من الخشم) . واضح بالصورة الأخيرة كنت رايحة و حاطة مكياجي من غير فاوندايشن و لا كونسيلر ، عقب ثالث جلسةكنت راح أكلم الدكتور آخذ جلسات زيادة بس بالصدفة سويت تحليل و عرفت إن الحديد عندي نازل، فأول ما يتعدل تحليلي راح أرجع مرة ثانية للنتيجة النهائية.

Best smelling shower gels for winter

hi everyone, finally its winter time here in kuwait and there is sale and offers every where. it’s good time for shopping and every time in december i love to spoil myself with little gifts every now and then.

last saturday i was shopping and came by bath and body works and find a good offer “buy 3, get 3 free”. So i bought my favorite two shower gels: japanese cherry blossom and french lavender & honey, and tried two others from the holiday tradition collection: vanilla bean noel and winter candy apple.

i always loved long warm showers, they are so relaxing and calming especially in the winter and i can really recommend these four shower gels to try them this season. they will leave your body smell so nice and because of the offer i took from every scent its shower gel, body lotion fragrance mist to seal the smell for hours more after the shower.

Fashion Report Fall/Winter 2014- Elie Saab

    

    Since that September is finished and fashion weeks are all over. the last few days i was watching some of the shows and i was very inspired to write a fashion report but i will be reviewing the fall/winter 2014 collections.

   So after watching my favorite designers show’s and reading reviews and feedbacks from people how attend the shows. I decided on focusing on ten brands, viewing my favorite looks from the show, discussing the style and narrowing the colors palette of the collection.

بما إن احنا خلصنا شهر سبتمبر و خلصت معاه كل عروض أسبوع الموضة العالمية (في كل من نيويورك، ميلان،لندن ،باريس). عطلة العيد تفرغت و طالعت مجموعة من العروض و ألهمتني اني اكتب تقرير عن الموضة و لكن عروض شهر سبتمبر كانت عن صيف /ربيع ٢٠١٥ و احنا الحين داخلين علي موسم شتاء، وعلشان جذي دورت علي عروض خريف/شتاء ٢٠١٤.

و أخيرا بعد متابعتي لمجموعة من العروض و مشاهدة مقابلات المصممين و مراجعة مجموعة من الصحفين و البلوقرز اللي كانوا حاضرين العروض، يسعدني مشاركتكم تقريري عن ١٠ ماركات اخترتها و اللي راح أعرض منها صور لوكات (طلة) أعجبتني أو برزت خلال العرض و أناقش الستايلات اللي ألهمت المجموعة و أحدد لوحة الألوان اللي لون فيها المصمم مجموعتة. 

Elie Saab creations always catches everyone's eyes on the red carpets. It's no surprise he was inclined to focus on his evening wear formula at his ready-to-wear presentation.(we are here not to talk about fashion couture but i couldn’t resist Elie saab couture collection i hearted the frozen queen fairy style) click to watch 

Saab called the collection Dark Opulence and said he was looking at the work of Mark Rothko. The artist's Color Field paintings made up a template of sorts for the designer's ombré effects. Saab prints this season, a painterly floral with brushstrokes for petals with black background. no doubt he is the king of lace but he played very well with silk, velvets, chiffons and densely embroidered materials. The color choices was reflect rich and warm of winter.

إبداعات إيلي صعب لملابس السهرة كانت دائما تخطف الأبصار علي السجادة الحمراء، وهذا الشئ اللي حفز المصمم علي التركيز في تصاميم فساتين ملابس السهرة و أدخالها مع عرض الملابس الجاهزة   (مو موضوعنا بس المجموعة الخاصة لملابس السهرة لإيلي صعب عجيبة تعور القلب احسها مستوحى من القصص الخيالية لملكة الثلج). انقر للمشاهدة

أطلق إيلي صعب علي المجموعة اسم “ الثراء المظلم” ، وأفصح  لنا إيلي عن مشاهدة لأعمال الفنان  مارك روثكو أثناء عمله علي المجموعة.  كتل حقول الألوان التي ميزت لوحات الفنان مارك كان لها أثر واضح علي إيلي صعب في اختيار تأثير تدرج الألوان (الأومبريه) علي الفساتين.

أدهشنا إيلي بلوحة زيتيه مظلمة و خلق فيها جمال زهور غامض بضربات ريشة المصمم لبتلات هذه الزهور. بالنسبة للخامات المستخدمة: الدانتيل ، ليس قابل للنقاش فإيلي هو ملك الدانتيل ولكنة أبدع في جميع الخامات المستخدمة ، الحرير و المخمل و الشفونات و خصوصا مع كثافة التطريزات المستخدمة. اختيارات الألوان كانت تعكس غني و دفء فصل الشتاء.

DIY : Wrinkles remover

I decided it was finally time to create my wrinkles remover because i tried to look for it in kuwait but i didn't find it anywhere, once I found the recipe online i tried it and i was really amazed how it worked ;) and the formula leaves my clothes smells really good and fresh especially on hot weather (removes the sun smell).

عيدكم مبارك أول شي ، و ثاني شي أنا صارلي مدة أدور علي السبراي بديل الكوي اللي يستخدمونه علي الهدوم اذا تعفست و يردها جنه توها للحين مكويه، المهم إني ما حصلته بالكويت و بعدين ليقت أكثر من طريقة بس هذي أكثر وحدة بسيطة و سهلة و قررت أجربها و أنفعتني و الحلو اللي فيها انها تعطر الهدوم و تشيل منها ريحة الشمس من كثر الحر.

Homemade Wrinkle Releaser Recipe

1 Cup Fabric softener ( i used Downy concentrate)
1 Cup white Vinegar

Just pour both ingredients into your spray bottle using a funnel to keep from spilling, then shake to mix together and now it is ready to use.

الطريقة لتحضير مزيل التجاعيد للملابس

نصب المكونات في بطل سبراي باستخدام القمع و نرج العلبة و تكون جاهزة للاستخدام.

To release the wrinkles, just spray a mist over the wrinkled areas and tug on the fabric and then hang to let dry and the wrinkles will continue to release as it dries.
the denim shirt i used for the picture was freshly ironed but i rolled it and put on my suit case when i spend one night in the hotel for my sister wedding. the first thing i did when i entered the room i hang the shirt and spray wrinkle remover all over it and enter the shower until its dry. so only in 20 minutes i was ready to wear it and go down for the salon and the next day when i returned home i pull it out of the bag and just spray it again, take these pictures for you and again it work like a charm. love it. 

لإزالة التجاعيد ، نرش الهدوم بالسبراي و نركز علي الاماكن اللي نبيها تنفرد و بعدين نشد شوية الهدوم من الصوبين و نخليها معلقة لغاية ما تجف.

القميص اللي أنا مصورته بالصورة كان مكوي و لافته وحاطته بالجنطة علشان أخذة معاي حق الفندق يوم قعدنا في الفندق علشان عرس أختي، أول شي سويته أول ما وصلت الفندق طلعت القميص علقته و رشيته و دخلت خذت دش و تزهبت مرت ٢٠ دقيقة لبسته و نزلت الصالون. و ثاني يوم لما رديت البيت طلعته من الجنطة علقته و رشيته علشان التصوير و نفس الشي مثل السحر رد جنه توه مكوي ، حبيته وايد مفيد جربوه.

So remember when you are in love or waging war, you are allowed to be deceitful in order to get what you want. and we want brownie!! Here, i am sharing with you my fake brownie recipe which is quick and very easy. And please enjoy lying to your family, friends and especially your man and tell them you did this recipe from scratch.

“كل شيء مباح في الحب و الحرب”. و ما في أقوي أو أعظم من حب البراوني. و المقولة تقول الغش مسموح في ساحة الحب و المعركة للوصول للهدف. و احنا بكل بساطة نبي براوني!! أشاركم اليوم و صفة سهلة و سريعة للبراوني الجذابة. طبعا لج كامل الحرية انج اتجذبين علي الأهل و الاصدقاء و خصوصا ريلج انج تعبتي وايد و انتي تسوينلهم البراوني...

ingredients

1 Chocolate cake mix ( better to use devilish foods cake mix)
1/2 cup and 2 Tbsp water
1 egg

for Garnish
2 Tbsp peanut butter
or 1/4 cup chopped nuts

المقادير 

١ علبة خليط الكيك الجاهزة بالكاكاو ( و يفضل إستخدام بالكاكاو الداكن )

١/٢ كوب و ٢ ملعقة كبيرة ماء

١ بيض

للتزين

٢ ملعقة كبيرة زبدة فول سوداني

أو ١/٤ كوب مكسرات مقطعة 

Instruction 

1) preheat the oven 200 C.

2) put all ingredients in a big bowl.

3) whisk manually until the mixture is smooth and thick.

4) pour the mixture in baking dish size 13X9 inch or for thicker brownie like the pictures used 7 X 15 inch.

5) garnish:

if you want to have your brownie with nuts:

just mix the mixture with with nuts by spoon before pour it into the baking dish.

if you love brownies with peanut butter:

put the peanut butter in the microwave for 10 seconds then add the peanut butter on the top of the mixture after its poured into the baking dish, with a toothpick make several 8 shape movements on the surface.

6) bake for 20- 35 minutes.

الطريقة

١) سخني الفرن ٢٠٠ س.

٢) نفرغ المقادير كلها في وعاء كبير.

٣) نخلط المقادير يدويا حتي يتجانس الخليط.

٤) نسكب الخليط في وعاء خبز الكيك مقاس 13X9 أو اذا تفضلين براوني كبيرة و متينة استخدمي وعاء خبز مقاس 15X7 انش نفس اللي استخدمته في الصورة.

٥) للتزيين :

اذا تفضلين البراوني بالمكسرات :

خلطي المكسرات بملعقة كبيرة قبل سكبها في وعاء الخبز.

و اذا تفضلين البراوني بزبدة الفول السوداني:

سخني زبدة الفول السوداني لمدة ١٠ ثواني بالميكرويف ، و نضيف زبدة الفول السوداني علي سطح الخليط بعد سكبه في وعاء الخبز و نستخدم عود اسنان و نرسم شكل 8 علي السطح لغاية ما يمتزج الخليطين. 

٦)نخبز البراوني لمدة ٢٠ الي ٣٥ دقيقة.
